North Devon and Exmoor are very unique special places.
There are few places in Britain that lay claim to such a beautiful combination of stunning landscapes. A coastline of spectacular cliffs, secret coves, pretty harbours and golden beaches together with wild moorland, sparkling river valleys and lush rolling hills make North Devon and Exmoor a very special place to visit.
We are very lucky to have areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and World Class UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Status.
North Devon has managed to maintain a delicate balance between its heritage and modern life. It is a friendly, laid back and beautiful part of the country.
There are miles of spectacular golden sandy beaches, the famous beaches of Croyde, Saunton Woolacombe and Puttsborough, you can enjoy walking,swimming and surfing.
Hire a beach hut for a day and enjoy the view of waves lapping on the beach.
Lynton and Lynmouth are unique villages connected by a venicular railway, explore the Valley of the Rocks, Combe Martin and Lee Bay where you can go rock pooling and make your family memories to treasure.
Everything you need for peace and relaxation is here at Bampfield, but when you do decide to venture out there are beautiful places to explore. The South West coastal path with spectacular walks such as Morte Point and Baggy Point are some of our family favorites.
Exmoor has a rare beauty of its own, you will need to walk as much as possible to find these special places and catch a glimpse of the wildlife.
The famous walks at Watersmeet will be another treat, then finish your day with a delicious cream tea.
The Tarka Trail cycle route offers 26 miles of off road cycling on the banks of the estuaries, you can find ice creams and tea rooms along the way. There are many places to hire bikes.
Local food markets with plenty of character and discover the heritage of Barnstaple an ancient market town with modern shops.
