Privacy Policy

We take preserving the privacy of our guests seriously. This policy explains what happens to personal data that you have provided to us, or while you visit our site.

We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than in accordance with this privacy policy other than

  1. When we are legally required by law to disclose your personal information.
  2. Or to further fraud protection and reduce the risk of fraud.

On occasions we include links to third parties, where we provide a link it does not mean that we endorse that site’s policy towards visitor protection or privacy. Please review the third party policy before continuing with sending your personal data.

Web Servers Collect Information

Nearly all web servers will record some information about the nature of a visit to a page. The information stored usually includes:

  • Date and time of the page visit
  • The IP address used to access the page
  • The address of the referring website (if appropriate) and search keywords if provided.
  • Technical information such as whether the request successful or if there were any errors, how long the page took to respond, etc.

The data collected by our web server is used to gain a better understanding of how many page views we get per day, how the site is functioning, what areas are popular and how search engines categorise our pages. This is done do help us identify improvements.

At no time is any personally identifiable information used to track you through your visit. We do not ask you to identify yourself. The only useful information that can be derived from a visitor’s IP address is the geographic location of the ISP who owns the address. We don’t currently use the information for any purpose.

Google Analytics

We use a service from Google that can provide some richer analytical information. It can help us know the search terms people are using, gives a technical breakdown of what type of computer and web browser software are used, and so on. To achieve this, there is a small piece of code on Google’s servers which is executed each time a web page on my server is loaded. That code records non-personally identifiable information about the software and operating system used to access the site, the pages visited and keywords used. As part of our use of this service, Google require us to include the following privacy statement:

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
